There are too less heavy killer guitars for heavy freaks but it’s very well a fine recording featuring great structures of instruments and melodies for listeners loving classical influences. Alterra/Same
Musikalisch guter, teilweise melodischer Spacerock mit viel Keys, guten Gitarren und auch gutem Sänger; eher modern angehaucht mit Trance-/Techno-Einfluss. Das LP-Cover wäre auch gut als düster-genial-planetarischer Blickfang in schwarz/silber für die Wand. Vynil.

Alusa Fallax/Intorno alla mia cattiva educazione
Vinyl. Alusa Fallax were born in Milano in 1969, and they released a couple of 45s soon after. But it wasn’t until 1974 that they released their first and only longplay. Released on the Fonit label with 5000 copies pressed, this is today a very sought after collector item in its original format. The album is a magical piece of the best Italian progressive music. Melodic, with leading keyboards, classical influences and two long suites (one per side) that can be conventional when speaking of Italian prog, and occasionally experimental too. This is a strictly limited reissue of 500 copies in 180gr vinyl, remastered sound, nice carton gatefold cover and a replica of the original labels. VMLP 103.

Vinyl. Eine Art Mittelweg zwischen alter RetroProg-Rauheit und 'modernem' Alternative-Rock. "A Time Of Day" klingt auf jeden Fall ganz so und paart die nordische, schwermütige Melancholie sehr schön mit kleinen, fast gewalttätigen Eruptionen. Die Scheibe macht Spass und ist doch hörbar immer noch typisch von Anekdoten. Virta LP 005.

Doppel-LP. Optisch ein wahrer Augenschmaus. Musikalisch gipfeln scheinbar unbezähmte (aber in Wahrheit äusserst präzise) Gitarren in Breaks und Schräges wechselt mit Mellotron-Passagen. Letztendlich spielen die Jungs egal ob im Studio oder Live einfach immer in allerfeinster Güte und sind schlichtweg genial. So tönt wahrer Progressiv !! Virta DLP 001.

LP. In the year 1970 the Portland based wrestler Beauregarde was at the height of his career. In that year he entered the studio accompanied by a very young guitarist GREG SAGE (later punk rock legend and WIPERS frontman). All material was written by Beauregarde and the music features Hendrix-influenced guitar solos over rock rhythms and steady drum beats. Aber man hat Neues komponiert, altes verworfen und irgendwann kam auch eine Hammond dazu. Am Ende ist eine freche, rasante und bunte Mischung irgendwo zwischen Green Day, Black Sabbath, Genesis, mit Einflüssen von Bluesrock draus geworden - jeder Song mit Gitarrensolos und Hammond-Einlagen in Progressiv-Manier aufgelockert. Kein knallhartes Gitarrenteil, eher vielschichtig und kommt erst nach mehrmaligem Anhören richtig rüber. Digipack, Mandala 293.

Belgien 1970. Kurze Progressive/Psychedelische Tracks aber auch mit einem symphonischen Moment der beinahe die gesamte zweite Seite des Albums einnahm. Ein Kultteil aus zwei Gründen: erstens mit Querflöte und zweitens weil Bassist Perre Rapsaet von Jengis Kahn mitspielt.

Musikalisch eine Spur anders, leicht weniger eingängig, leicht psychedelischer und düsterer, was aber vielleicht auch dem Totenkopf auf dem Cover zuzuschreiben ist der sicher einen gewissen Einfluss hat dass man diese Scheibe als düsterer empfindet als die andere. 300 Stück schwarzes Vinyl.und 7"Single. 1971, die erste Scheibe. Musikalisch sicher dem harten Progressiv zuzuordnen. Dazwischen hat's aber auch wunderschöne weichere Teile. 5 lange Songs. Alles in allem als "Muss" in die Deutschrock-Sammlung zu bezeichnen. Limitierte 1000er Second Battle Ausgabe im schwarzen Vinyl im schweren laminierten Original Klappcover - 180 Gramm Pressung. Might of Coincidence/Announcing the Birth of Might of Coincidence, LP
Schweiz 1971. Die Musik sollte in Cannes promoted werden aber leider stieg der Sänger gleich nach dem ersten Auftritt aus. Der Grossteil der Auflage wurde dann irrtümlich vernichtet und so ist dies eine der seltensten Schweizer LPs überhaupt. Es handelt es sich um ein philosophisches Projekt. Und das teuerste der damaligen Zeit: ein gutes Jahr wurde das Studio von Stephan Suhlke gemietet. Schöner psychedelischer Folk mit herausragender Flöte (ja - alles wurde mit Blockflöte eingespielt), vor allem der erste Track ist sensationell.

1972. Das dritte Album der Band erschien nur in Spanien und unterscheidet sich von den Vorgängern: kein Hardrock sondern schöner, abwechslungreicher Progressiv mit barrocken Elementen. GEM 46.
